The Principle Trust Children’s Charity

With an aim of improving quality of life, The Principle Trust Children’s Charity, based in Skipton, North Yorkshire provide free holidays to underprivileged, disadvantaged and disabled children that would not otherwise have the opportunity to go on holiday. From children who come from lives of crimes to children living and dealing with life threating illnesses, the Charity acts to provide free holidays to children and their family/carers to help create lasting memories for all.

Working alongside other charities and government bodies predominantly within the Yorkshire region, such as St Martins Hospice, Bluebell Wood and Embrace, 100% of every penny raised by the charity goes directly into helping the children the Trust supports.

Setup by Mike Davies MBE in 2011, the charity so far have sent over 2,400 children on a holiday that wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity. Over the years, the trust has 3 holiday homes on the Haven holiday park in Blackpool, plus a 4th at Ribblesdale Park in Gisburn.

The 5th disabled holiday home based in Windermere on the fabulous White Cross Bay Park Dean Resort in the Lake District, has taken over 18 months of fundraising and grant applications by the trustees and staff of the charity.
